I had a stand at the Wedding Fayre in the Corn Exchange in Cupar on Sunday and what a fantastic day it was too. My hat’s off to Cheryl and her team for their fantastic organisation…and the steady flow of coffee all day. I met so many nice people there – both exhibitors and shoppers – and there was a steady flow for most of the day. Unfortunately, a couple of exhibitors decided that they would pack up early, just after three o’clock. Not so good, and in my opinion quite rude to the organisers, other stall holders and to the potential clients still coming in the door.
One memorable moment was when I met and petted my first owl up close. A beautiful little guy with such a nice personality, he looked a lot like this guy here and I have to admit, he fairly stole my heart. He amused me no end with his antics….especially his dancing! And talk about soft – his feathers were like mink.
He was one of the trained owls from Kingdom of Fife Falconry and the reason he and his other wingmate attended the Wedding Fayre yesterday is that one of the things they are trained to do is perform the duties of ring bearers. How amazing would that look – to see two beautiful owls swoop down the aisle and drop your rings on the ring cushion? It would certainly make your wedding day one to remember.
